The Flash

The story of Indians, or people from Indian origin in all walks of life in America isn’t exactly new. But their presence in the film industry was albeit limited, with a few exceptions, of course.

Recently, however, I am seeing a lot of Indian people on American television, not just the Raj character in The Big Bang Theory, but also Indian in inconsequential roles, not just to highlight racial stereotypes, but perhaps to highlight racial diversity.

For example, in the new series The Flash, we have a minor character, who is Captain Singh. Why? No reason.

This may also be because there is lot of people from Indian origin who was working behind the scene in American television.
