“Then out spake brave Horatius,
The Captain of the Gate:
To every man upon this earth
Death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better
Than facing fearful odds,
For the ashes of his fathers,
And the temples of his gods”
― Thomas Babington Macaulay, Lays of Ancient Rome
As seen in Tom Cruise science fiction blockbuster 'Oblivion.'

By the way, it is the same Macaulay who wrote the infamous 'Minutes on Education' for British India.
Any idea what edition of the book this is or where I can find this edition of the book?
ReplyDeleteYou will have to ask the prop people from the film 'Oblivion', as the screenshots are from that film. However, you should find a copy with an old and rare bookseller. Happy hunting!
