Says the Pilgrim:

“I stand on the shore of this eunuch river.

“I stand on ashes and look at the other side, sylvan, inviting, full of shades.

“I can cross the river and embrace the shades and rest awhile.

“I know. It’s not as simple as it sounds. I know once I’m on the other side, I’d look back and I will see this ashen ground turn into grasses, full of shade and green.

“I stand on the shore of this eunuch river.

“Places do not matter. People do.”
