During summer, as the river slims down in Varanasi, there appear sand islands in the middle of it. Out here, the water is much cleaner, and the place is virtually empty, especially during the hot summer day. In the evening, the local lovers, students from nearby institutes, would throng the place. For Rs 200 or so, a boatman would take you to the other side, and you can have a bath in peace and leisure. If you want, the boatman would also take your pictures in your camera.
